R6 Men’s Pennants

Another mixed bag of results over the weekend. Division 2 picked up a vital win as they look to steer clear of relegation worries. Division 6 returned to winning ways and remain on top of the ladder. Once again there were some strong individual performances, Ben Hawkins claimed a 5&4 win and Rob Bird won 5&3. Daz McLoughlin won again meaning he is 5 wins from 5 games this season!

The division 2 boys made the most of home ground advantage to record an emphatic 6/1 victory over Nedlands. It was vital victory for the boys as they moved up the ladder into a respectable 5th place. The season finishes against The Vines at Nedlands Golf Club which gives the lads a great chance to finish the season with a win. Gagan Dhaliwal, Matt Nelson, Andrew Bleakley, Rob Bird, Daz McLoughlin and Adam Baillie all recorded victories.

Division 4 had a tough day at home to WA Golf Club, going down 1/6. The result leaves them on the bottom of the ladder but not without the chance to rectify that this weekend against Wanneroo at Mt Lawley. Trevor Beazley was our winner on the day with a 2&1 victory.

Division 6 remain on top after bouncing back to winning ways with a hard fought 4/3 win. The boys remain on top of the ladder but will need to win against The Vines at Sea View to ensure they remain on top and advance to the final. Larry Florido, Biff Brody, Peter Matta and Ben Hawkins picked up victories.

Division 7 had a tough day against a Joondalup side playing at their home course, going down 1/6. Chris Cooper picked up our win with a 2&1 victory. The boys are currently last on the ladder and will need to pick up a victory against the 1st placed WA Golf Club to avoid finishing last.

Division 8 played against The Vines at Joondalup and unfortunately went down 2/5. Robert Taylor and Elliott Reid picked up wins but it wasn’t enough as the boys remain mid table. They finish the season against Mosman park where they will look to finish the season off with a win.
