DEVELOPMENT UPDATE

Dear Club Member,

Update regarding the Club’s proposal for the development of the Lakelands Golfview Estate with Handle Property Group and a request for a show of support needed this weekend (Sat 2nd and Sunday 3rd July).

As previously advised, the application for this development went before the Joint Development Assessment Panel (JDAP) on Mon 8th February, 2016 at the City of Wanneroo offices. The panel refused the application..
Following the refusal, we lodged an application to the State Administrative Tribunal (SAT) to have the decision set aside with an approval being issued. We have now completed 3 Mediation Meetings with the Respondents at SAT.
The Application is now to be reconsidered at a meeting on August 19th by the JDAP at the City of Wanneroo council offices.
The professional planning consultants, Urbis and Lavan Legal, advise that the application can be approved and should be approved.

Prior to this, we are seeking an opportunity to address all Councillors so that they may be fully informed about all matters relating to the proposal. To be afforded this meeting, we need to obtain 100 signatures from City of Wanneroo ratepayers.
The form to be signed is at the Lakelands Country Club this weekend (Sat 2nd July). Please sign the form if able to as without the necessary number of signatures, we cannot address Councillors.
We continue to work hard in unison with the Handle Property Group to achieve a satisfactory outcome and will keep you informed of progress. Forms are located in the Pro-Shop and Clubhouse.
