All Lakelands Teams played at home again with some success and some sad tales. We suffered only one loss out of the four teams. The others had a win and two halved matches.<\/p>\n

The Black Team had a great 4\/1 win over Mosman Park , getting revenge for their 5 nil defeat in the first round at Mosman Park.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The winners were: Zeljko Maurac and Rob Duffy (4 & 3), Jim McNamee and Simon Judd (3 & 1), John Alchin<\/strong> and Trevor Stephens (1 up) and great 5 & 4 result by Dave Whitby and Bill Woodhams<\/strong>. Next week they host Joondalup who narrowly defeated them \u00a0in the previous encounter.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Ewan Trott\u2019s Green machine were lucky not to have secured a win, losing the final match of the day on the 18th<\/sup> hole , thus ensuring a drawn match against Nedlands. All matches were close with two wins , two losses and one squared. Winners were: Roger Knight and Graeme Lightfoot (1up) and Wayne Ovenden and<\/strong> Mark Taylor\u00a0 (3 & 2). The squared match was achieved by Ewan and Bob Baldwin.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Also achieving a drawn result was the\u00a0 Blue Team who came up against Mount Lawley. The 2.5\/2.5 outcome was very nearly a 3\/2 win but for a couple a errant putts. The winners were: Brock McIntosh and Maurice<\/strong> Shanks (1 up) and Brian Spoors and Peter Lunch (4 & 3). Captain John Drummond and Steve Wells <\/strong>took it to the eighteenth and square their match. Their final match for the year is against\u00a0 the ladder leaders The Vines.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In another close encounter the Red Team lost 3 and 2 to Mount Lawley. Again the result could have gone the other way with Lakelands winning one and squaring two more . The losses were closely contested. The winning pair was Dion Bromilow and Dave Patrick (1 up)<\/strong>. \u00a0Squared results were achieved by Stan Chait and<\/strong> Gary Hampson<\/strong> and Them Piliotis and John Firriolo.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Their final game next week will be home against The Vines.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Unfortunately none of our teams can make the finals this year, however four home wins next week would be a good way to finish off the season.
