LADIES INTRO CLINICS - SEE CLUB NEWS & EVENTS

The golf course layout has been progressively developed over the years out of 70 hectares of bushland and as a result the natural course surrounds compliment the challenging layout designed by the late Brian Crafter. The Club is one of only a few metropolitan courses that owns its land. Apart from the golf course proper, the Club has approximately 30 hectares available for future development

The Penncross Bent grass greens are second to none and the layout of the course, which also contains 59 bunkers, will test all levels of golfer. The fairways are a Couch derivative with Fescue green surrounds

The natural bushlands contain many native paperbark trees, which are a feature of the course and the surrounding areas.

The signature hole on the course is the par 3 16th, across a lake to a slightly elevated green. The course plays at varying degrees of difficulty depending upon the direction of the prevailing winds. On days when the wind is from the west, three of the par 5's are played directly into the wind.

In recent years the quality of the golf course has been recognised by the Western Australian Golf Association by the awarding of the past three State Seniors Championships, the State Junior Championship and the 2005 State Amateur Championship. A strong junior golf program is available including clinics, competitions and a peewee program.

The clubhouse is licensed with full bar facilities and snack foods are available from the kitchen. Modern change rooms, buggy room and a large pro shop are also available for members.

Lakelands Country Club is membership based (currently in the vicinity of 1000 members) with limited public access. Visitors who are members of affiliated golf clubs, and corporate groups, are welcome.
